Prebiotics

Dr. Ohhira’s original probiotic formula is 100% natural and free from chemicals, preservatives, artificial additives, colouring agents and animal by-products. Mountain spring water is the only liquid used in this non-dairy product and tests confirm that OM-X is also gluten free.

OM-X includes the highly effective strain Enterococcus faecalis TH10 which gives OM-X its powerful ability to support the immune system and target harmful bacteria. This beneficial strain has been isolated and identified from Tempeh – a traditional fermented food in South East Asia.
Through extensive research the properties of TH10 have been identified to have 6 times the proteolytic (protein digesting) activity of other strains of the same species and genus. Undecomposed protein cannot be absorbed by the intestine and becomes putrefactive. This triggers the growth of harmful bacteria in the body. TH10 decomposes protein found in the ingredients in OM-X into amino acids and peptides during the 5 year fermentation; this allows the intestines to efficiently absorb these nutrients to circulate them around the whole body.
3-phenyllactic acid, an antibacterial substance produced by TH10, inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria.
